About
Studio Two Six One is an Art Gallery and Gift Shop in Newton Mearns owned by Karin Hepburn, resident artist and former teacher of Art & Design (for over 30 years.) Karin graduated from Glasgow School of Art in the early 90's with a degree in Design ( Printed Textiles) then as a Post Graduate at Jordanhill College of Education.
Launched in October 2022, the gallery showcases Scottish Artists and designers, in addition to hosting local art classes for adults and children.
- Situated at 261 Mearns Road, Glasgow, G77 5LU (Broom Shops) The Gallery offers a wide range of Contemporary Scottish Art and Artisan gifts.
Opening hours:
- Monday : by appointment only
- Tuesday : 11am - 4.00pm
- Wednesday: 11am - 4.30pm & Eve class: 7pm - 9pm
- Thursday : 11am - 3pm
- Friday : 10.30am - 5pm ( Artist events TBA)
- Saturday : 10.30am - 4.00pm ( Parties bookable )
- Sunday : by appointment only ( Parties & Events bookable)

We now have three sessions for Adult art classes in Newton Mearns:
Wednesdays : 2pm -4 pm ( Space available)
Wednesdays: 7pm - 9pm ( 6 spaces available)
Fridays 1pm - 3 pm ( FULL)

Our art classes are tutored and teacher led and aimed mainly at beginner level.
